CPAA Honors Dr. Tim Burton
Congratulations to Dr. Tim Burton. Tim was involved peripherally during its first two decades, it wasn't until he retired from the University of Alberta and moved to the southern part of the Province, that Bill Gillespie – a long time friend– talked him into running for the Board of Directors. Over the next four years as Chair of the Board, Tim led the efforts of a remarkable group of people who turned the Association around, re-built its governance system, put it on a sound financial basis, expanded its membership categories, developed a strategic plan, and much more. He worked with more than 30 different Directors during his seven years on the Board! April 2011
Honorary Members are people who, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, have shown continued interest in community planning and have made a significant contribution to the Association.
