Announcing CPAA’s New Community Achievement Award
We are pleased to announce that the winner of the 2022 award:

We received a very competitive set of submissions and in addition to the Winner the Committee wanted to acknowledge two honorable mentions:
Iron Horse Fields Quads Baseball Diamonds in Langdon submitted by Rockyview County and Langdon Community Association
Landuse Bylaw 2021-17 submitted by Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No. 124
We encourage everyone to submit projects for next years award.
We think it’s time to formally recognize the outstanding work and successes of our members with a new Community Achievement Award to be awarded annually.
Community Planning Association of Alberta members are focused on multiple ways of improving the quality of life in their local areas. Communities across Alberta have undertaken and are currently involved in a wide range of community-based projects to address community safety, health, local services and social and economic opportunities. Communities across Alberta a doing some outstanding work and the CPAA has initiated a New Award to recognize these achievements.
This award is intended to recognize, celebrate, and share the success and hard work of an individual, team, or organization whose creative ideas and work has positively contributed to community building and well being anywhere in Alberta.
The Nomination is easy to do with the link below and the Deadline is MARCH 1, 2022. The only requirement is that you have to be a member of CPAA. If you are not a member and wish to apply simply become a member by contacting CPAA as below.
The inaugural award winner will be formally announced and presented with a plaque recognizing their achievements at the May 2-4 CPAA Conference 2022 and will be featured in CPAA publications. Nominators and winners must be CPAA members in good standing.
